As you approach the figure, you notice that it's none other than Sonic the Hedgehog. He seems to be in a bit of trouble, as he's surrounded by strange, glowing orbs that are emitting an eerie light. Sonic turns to you and explains that he's been trapped in this forest by a mysterious curse. He tells you that he's been trying to find a way out, but the orbs keep blocking his path.
